When I was in college, I went to Argentina for a year abroad. It really changed my life. I know. I know. That sounds so trite. Whose life isn't changed with a year abroad? I traveled all over. I ate empanadas, learned about Malbec from Mendoza. I got hooked on futbol and danced too many tangos. I absolutely fell in love with Piazzolla's music. I had my eyes opened to a whole new way of thinking, and since then, I've tried to bring the rich tapestry of life to my food, clothing, music, and friends. I feel that by having experiences that educate and enrich, I have a richer and fuller life. I'm not one who can find a restaurant and have the same thing each time. I want to know the specials and stretch myself into something new. By the way, have you tried the Himalayan place on Spenard? It's great.
